Description

Prescript Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded regional imaging provider to support locum Radiologist coverage in Orange, New South Wales.
This is a premium regional locum opportunity offering excellent remuneration, modern imaging technology and manageable single-week blocks from August to December 2026.
The role is based within the Bloomfield Medical Centre precinct at a comprehensive community imaging practice supported by an experienced technical team. The work is varied, the equipment is high quality, and Orange is one of regional NSW’s most appealing professional and lifestyle destinations.
The caseload is approximately 120+ reports per day, with work across:
CT
Ultrasound
X-Ray
Mammography
Tier A interventional work
The site includes:
Fully funded 3T MRI with dedicated breast coil
Dual-source CT technology
3D digital mammography / tomosynthesis with interventional capability
Five dedicated ultrasound suites
DR general radiography, DR DEXA and DR OPG
Tier A CT and ultrasound-guided interventional services
Locum coverage is currently required for the following weeks commencing:
3 August 2026
7 September 2026
28 September 2026
5 October 2026
9 November 2026
16 November 2026
30 November 2026
7 December 2026
14 December 2026
Single-week availability is welcome, and multiple blocks can also be discussed.
Orange is a standout regional NSW location, known for its food and wine, strong healthcare infrastructure, premium accommodation options and relaxed regional lifestyle. The city is accessible by direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and is also a practical drive from Sydney.
This role would suit a Radiologist seeking a well-supported community imaging locum with modern equipment, a broad diagnostic and procedural mix, and a location that is genuinely enjoyable to visit.
Rate: $4,000 per day
Requirements
Job Requirements
To be considered, applicants should have:
FRANZCR or equivalent specialist Radiologist qualification
Current AHPRA specialist registration
Experience across CT, ultrasound, X-ray and mammography
Ability to perform Tier A interventional work
Confidence managing a busy community imaging workload
Availability for one or more of the listed weekly blocks
Previous regional or community imaging experience will be highly regarded.
