Description
Prescript Recruitment is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist for premium locum blocks in Darwin, Northern Territory.
This is a high-value hospital-based Interventional Radiology locum opportunity, offering strong remuneration, full travel support and the chance to contribute to an important tertiary imaging service in the Top End.
You will be based within a major tertiary hospital imaging department in Darwin’s northern suburbs, supporting a broad acute, emergency, inpatient, outpatient and procedural workload.
This opportunity is best suited to an Interventional Radiologist who is confident working in a hospital environment, comfortable with on-call, and interested in providing meaningful procedural radiology support where the service has a direct impact on patient access, flow and outcomes.
Available Locum Weeks
The following 7-day locum blocks are currently available:
- Week commencing 6 September 2026
- Week commencing 11 October 2026
- Week commencing 22 November 2026
- Week commencing 29 November 2026
Single-week blocks may be considered. Radiologists available for multiple weeks are also encouraged to enquire.
Remuneration and Inclusions
- $4,000 per day
- $4,000 on-call payment for the 7-day period
- $1,000 per call-in
- Flights provided
- Accommodation provided
- Car provided
About the Role
The role is designed for an Interventional Radiologist who can support a hospital-based procedural service across acute, inpatient and emergency pathways.
The broader imaging environment includes a comprehensive modality mix and an established hospital workflow, with IR capability forming an important part of the service.

Requirements
Applicants must be suitably qualified and experienced in Interventional Radiology.
The successful locum will be expected to demonstrate:
FRANZCR
Specialist registration with AHPRA
Strong Interventional Radiology experience
Confidence working in a hospital-based imaging department
Ability to support acute, emergency and inpatient procedural work
Availability for a 7-day block including on-call
Ability to meet credentialing and compliance requirements prior to commencement
Experience in a tertiary or major regional hospital environment will be highly regarded.
