About you
Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Diagnostic Radiologists (Senior Medical Officers) who want to make a positive impact while working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and supportive team. We are looking for Diagnostic Radiologists who are passionate about delivering quality care to our patients.
Diagnostic Radiologists provide consultative support to ensure appropriate imaging is selected, participate in clinical meetings and case reviews, and contribute to quality improvement, audit and peer review activities that strengthen patient outcomes and service performance.

About you
To work as a Radiologist (Senior Medical Officer) in New Zealand, you must become registered to practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Practitioners must meet competency standards and hold Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) to work safely and effectively. Salary and benefits
Senior Medical Officers receive 6 weeks of annual leave and 12 paid public holidays, giving you time to explore our beautiful country and raise a family in our diverse communities. Along with your base salary as a Senior Medical Officer, you will have an annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance of NZ $16K AUD $13K certificate fees and your professional indemnity insurance is covered by Health New Zealand.
Senior Medical Officers receive a base salary relative to their level of experience.
- Medical Officers annual salaries range NZ $142K - NZ $210K (AUD 116K
- - AUD 172K) plus allowances
- Medical Specialists annual salaries range NZ $185K - NZ $267K (AUD 151K
- - AUD 218K) plus allowances
Additional allowances are paid on top of base salary and vary due to location and service.
