Clinical Director – Capital Radiology Carlton

Lead Clinical Excellence in the Heart of Melbourne's Biomedical Precinct

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Director – Consultant Radiologist to lead our Capital Radiology Carlton clinic, providing strategic clinical leadership, mentoring fellow Radiologists, and driving excellence in patient care while maintaining a rewarding clinical workload.

About the Carlton Clinic

Located on the corner of Queensberry and Drummond Streets, just moments from vibrant Lygon Street, our Carlton clinic sits within Melbourne's renowned biomedical precinct, neighbouring leading tertiary hospitals including St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

The clinic offers a broad and interesting case mix supported by modern technology, including:

•    Dual-source CT
•     Ultrasound services (2 dedicated rooms)
•     Digital X-ray
•     On-site Cardiac Centre providing stress testing and echocardiography
•      Strong referral relationships with specialists, GPs and hospital clinicians

About the Role

This position combines clinical leadership with a varied reporting workload, allowing you to influence clinical standards while continuing to practise as a Consultant Radiologist.

Working closely with operational leadership, you will help shape the ongoing growth and success of the Carlton practice while supporting a collaborative and high-performing Radiologist team.

Key Responsibilities

•    Provide clinical leadership and mentorship
•     Drive clinical excellence, quality assurance and best-practice patient care.
•     Develop and implement clinical policies, governance initiatives and accreditation standards.
•     Partner with operational leadership to support service development and continuous improvement.
•     Assist with the recruitment, onboarding and retention of Radiologists.
•     Foster a collaborative, supportive and high-performing clinical culture.

About You

You will bring:

•   FRANZCR qualification (or eligibility)
•   Current AHPRA registration and relevant Victorian Medical Radiation Licence
•   Strong general radiology experience with excellent clinical judgement
•   A collaborative leadership style and passion for developing teams
•   Subspecialty interests are welcomed and supported
