Applications are open for RANZCR accredited radiologists for a 6-month Breast Imaging Fellowship with Lumus Imaging, commencing February 2027.

This position is based at the Breast Health Centre (BHC), a purpose-built private facility located on-site at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside. The BHC is jointly operated by St Vincent’s and Lumus Imaging. Fellows will work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced radiologists with a strong focus on breast imaging and interventional procedures.

 
About the Fellowship
The Breast Imaging Fellowship is designed to provide radiologists with comprehensive training in breast imaging and intervention. You will be supervised by Dr Vincent Andrijich, who has extensive experience in diagnostic and screening mammography, breast MRI, and interventional breast procedures.

Fellows will gain substantial experience in a high-volume clinical setting, including:

• Diagnostic mammography and tomosynthesis interpretation
• Breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• 3T breast MRI reporting
• Stereotactic breast biopsies and marker clip placements
• Pre-operative and chemotherapy localization techniques
• Hook wire and seed localizations prior to surgery
• Synthetic 2D mammography and automated breast density software
• MRI-guided vacuum-assisted biopsies (at Varsity Lakes)

Fellowship Benefits

• Flexible attendance: 2–3 days per week or 5 days a fortnight
• Participation in regular breast multidisciplinary meetings (MDTs)
• No on-call commitment
• Certificate of completion provided at the end of 6 months

This is an excellent opportunity for radiologists passionate about breast imaging to develop advanced skills in both private practice and multidisciplinary care settings. At Lumus Imaging we are committed to the ongoing training and development of our radiologists. Lumus Imaging offers
ongoing training, conference leave, and with the support of our Imaging clinical council we offer clinical and professional
direction in radiology. The Imaging Clinical Council also assists with the clinical review of safety and quality governance
initiatives, and provides input into strategic clinical planning and development.

Applicants must have passed RANZCR Part II exams, have AHPRA registration and unrestricted Australian working rights.
