CHAIRMAN & CLINICAL MANAGING DIRECTOR DR MIKE BAKER MRCP, FRANZCR
Mike is the Chairman and Clinical Managing Director of TRG Imaging and has contributed to the significant growth of the business in the Auckland region in the last 18 years including being instrumental in setting up MRI services in the public hospitals, Auckland's North Shore and in Whangarei.

Mike was involved in the setup of TRG Imaging, bringing together several established radiology practices in the North Island into one company in 2004.

Mike is a practising Radiologist and works in Auckland at TRG Imaging and BreastScreen Waitemata and Northland.

He is a director of several radiology related companies.

RADIOLOGISTS
We proactively seek out and employ the best radiologists from within New Zealand and overseas to deliver high quality diagnostic reports. A thorough recruitment and induction process is followed that sets us apart from other private providers. We encourage and have several of our radiologists working across both public and private work environments, further enhancing best practices and up to date industry knowledge.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
We offer clinical trainee positions across all medical imaging modalities to ensure business continuity and whilst helping to reduce the skill shortage in New Zealand.

We encourage and support CME for radiologists and clinical staff, which includes in-house annual learning conferences with expert speakers in attendance. We have recently developed and introduced a 12 month MSK fellowship programme for radiologist registrars and are excited about the long term benefits this may provide in securing New Zealand trained radiologists.

We also identify emerging leaders and provide external and internal learning opportunities ensuring a good balance between clinical and administrative expertise across our entire business.

We support the University of Auckland under and post graduate MIT programmes with Clinical Tutors and a senior member of staff sits on their Advisory Board, helping influence positive outcomes for the continued advancement of the MIT profession in New Zealand. This is a great achievement and positions us well for attracting high quality MITs.

LARGEST PRIVATE PROVIDER IN THE NORTH ISLAND
We are the largest private multiple modality provider of radiology services in the North Island with 19 practices located in Whangarei, Kerikeri, Auckland, Rotorua, Taupo, Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne, along with our joint venture service, Auckland Breast Centre. Several of these practices were established over 30 years ago. Our flagship clinic is located at 209 Shakespeare Rd, Milford.

WIDE RANGE OF SERVICES
We provide a wide range of diagnostic services, including X-ray, mammography, CT, MRI and ultrasound including 3D/4D pregnancy ultrasound, within a caring and professional environment.

EXCELLENT CLINICAL CARE - OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER CARE
Our focus is on combining innovation in technology with the leading sub-specialty skills of our Radiologists and staff, ensuring expert imaging and diagnosis. While excellent clinical imaging and diagnosis is paramount, TRG Imaging also places a high premium on providing nothing less than outstanding customer service to our patients. Therefore, all TRG Imaging staff members are regularly involved in team and customer training to continue to deliver the professional, yet compassionate, care expected of us.

OUR CLINICS
Patient journey in mind, we strive to create an environment of calm and care, reducing anxiety levels, through use of therapy dogs, colours, textures, decals…. Modern, up to date leased equipment sees a regular equipment turnover programme in place.

PROCESSES AND PROTOCOLS
TRG Imaging is an IANZ accredited company and was one of the first radiology practices in the world to attain the ISO9002 standard. Our services are delivered via a group-wide communications network that supports patient files, security and access to images (RIS & PACS), which means you can go to any of our clinics and your records are accessible.

Our Clinical Director sits on the IANZ Board providing an opportunity to positively influence accreditation standards within our industry and ensuring we remain current with best practice.

TRUSTED BY DISTRICT HEALTH BOARDS (DHBs)
We have direct interface with seven DHBs and have been entrusted with contracts for various examinations from all the DHBs in our regions as well as ACC services. We also take part in public health initiatives, such as Breast Screen Aotearoa. Even though we are the largest private radiology group in the North Island, our workforce is notably customer centric, providing exceptional, caring service for our patients.
