Formed through the merger of two highly regarded providers — Quantum Radiology and Medscan — our group blends subspecialist expertise with a scalable, patient-first approach. With 20+ clinics across the City, Western Sydney and the Central Coast, we proudly serve diverse communities with compassion, precision, and innovation.

Our Story
Quantum Radiology
Founded in 2005 by Dr. Mansoor Parker and Dr. Tinku Kooner, Quantum Radiology was built on a vision of delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services. Dr. Parker brought deep expertise in interventional radiology and musculoskeletal imaging, while Dr. Kooner contributed his leadership in pain management and intervention, and remains an active member of the Australasian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group (AMSIG).
Under their guidance, Quantum Radiology has grown into a trusted name in imaging, with several clinics across Western Sydney and the Central Coast — including Penrith (Nepean), Bankstown, Chester Hill, Leichhardt, and Erina.
Medscan
Established in 2012 by Dr. John O’Rourke, Medscan Merrylands has always prioritised accessibility, offering bulk billing for all Medicare-eligible scans with no gap fees. In 2015, Dr. James Black joined Dr. O’Rourke to expand the network with clinics in Double Bay, Barangaroo, and George Street — serving Sydney’s CBD and Eastern Suburbs.
Medscan clinics offer a full suite of imaging modalities including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray, BMD, OPG, and Mammography, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and subspecialist reporting.
Heartscan Australia
Also founded in 2012 in partnership with Medscan, Heartscan Australia is a specialised cardiac imaging service focused on cardiac CT, calcium scoring, cardiac MRI, and echocardiography. Operating in collaboration with leading radiologists and cardiologists, Heartscan supports early detection and management of heart disease through non-invasive, high-precision diagnostics.
