- Staff Specialist - Diagnostic Radiology - RPAH
Description
The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Diagnostic Radiology is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Diagnostic Radiology, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Radiology Department and Hospital as required.
In addition to participating in provision of Diagnostic Radiology, the Staff Specialist may be involved in subspecialty Radiology (depending on training and experience) in areas such as abdomen, cardiac, neurological, musculoskeletal, breast and/or Tier A interventional Radiology.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.

Requirements
Current medical practitioner, registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) with recognised qualifications in Radiology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Position will be available from February 2026. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from the beginning of the 2026 Clinical Year on 2 February 2026, may be considered.
