- MRI Musculoskeletal Fellowship I Northern Beaches Hospital
Description
Applications are open for a 12-month MRI Musculoskeletal Fellowship, starting in Feb 2026 at Northern Beaches Hospital, Sydney.
Northern Beaches Hospital is a major teaching hospital, with 450 beds with imaging provided by Lumus Imaging.
On offer here is:
- Diagnostic (MRI, Bone Scan, CT, ultrasound) and interventional activities in MSK radiology.
- 4 days (8 sessions), per week on fellowship activity
- On site there is 2 state of the art MRI’s, 3T and 1.5T. 2 SPECT-CT's, 3 CTs and 1 PET
- Opportunity to undertake remunerated general radiology work, or research, 1 day per week.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
The program emphasises the application and interpretation of MSK imaging examinations and procedures, including radiography, scintigraphy, arthrography ultrasonography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and image-guided percutaneous injections techniques. In addition to the below:
- Reporting medical imaging for both inpatients and outpatients,
- Working in close consultation with the staff and residents in Orthopaedic Surgery, Rheumatology, Oncology, and Emergency Medicine,
- Occasionally interacting with other subspecialists in Medicine and Surgery
- Active involvement with the coordination and presentation of resident and medical students didactic conferences and teaching/image interpretation sessions in MSK imaging.
- Participation in interdepartmental conferences with Orthopaedic Surgery and Oncology
- Teaching of medical students and participation in clinical meetings are expected.
- Research activities will be encouraged.
Essential Criteria of Fellowship with the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Radiologists. Preference Criteria.
- Proven record in teamwork in radiology
- Record in teaching and research
