Description
To provide radiological services of the highest quality whilst ensuring best possible outcomes for patients at all times.
In collaboration with other members of staff, uses the Practice Policies to provide a high standard of patient care and compliance with the RANZCR Quality Assurance and Accreditation Programme.
Works within the guidelines of Workplace Health and Safety Act and other legislative requirements.
Requirements
General clinical duties of a Consultant Radiologist.
Perform specific procedures as designated in the Queensland X-Ray schedule.
Comply with all clinical standards, policies and procedures documented by Queensland X-Ray to ensure a consistent standard of clinical care.
Attend hospital and suburban practices operated by Queensland X-Ray in accordance with weekly rosters.
Work in centers away from your primary region may be required from time to time. Your are expected to share equitably with other Queensland X-Ray Radiologists in out of town cover if required by the Roster Doctor or Chief Executive Officer. You will not be required to do more than two (2) weeks per annum.
Participate in the continuing professional education of referrers.
Assist in the teaching of undergraduate/post graduate trainees where required at Hospital practices.
Actively participate in professional development and clinical research.
comply with all professional and continuing medical educational requirements of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists; and
Comply with all legislation relevant to radiology duties so as to not breach any law.
Actively encourage and promote the Core Values of Sonic HealthCare Limited and Queensland X-Ray on a daily basis.
Demonstrates a high level of leadership and professionalism at all times in regard to staff management and patient care.
